You can hear a wonderful pianist on Mondays at Rasselas, or another at Martuni's. In the East Bay, there's a new CD by this fine pianist. And on the Peninsula, there's a terrific pianist (heard here with Jon on East of the Sun).
There are some very good local female jazz singers, some well-known, some less-known, and others even less so. One terrific male jazz singer that merits a listen is here, and one who has given me glowing praise is here - many, many thanks.
